Managing Director (Newage Textiles Ltd. & Newage Accessories Ltd.)

Mr. Fakhruddin Ahmed, FCMA, FCA was appointed to the board of directors of Bangladesh National Insurance Company Limited on 8th June 2015 as an Independent Director.

He is a renowned entrepreneur in the Textile Industries of Bangladesh. He is the Managing Director of Newage Textiles Limited, a reputed export-oriented fabric manufacturing industry commence 1st September 2000. He is also the Managing Director of Newage Accessories Limited and Newage Plastics Limited producing high quality button and hanger required by the Readymade Garments Manufacturers respectively. The companies gradually expanses under his leadership, experience and business knowledge and makes a potential impact to the national economy.

He is also the Board Member of “Bangladesh Center for Advance Studies (BCAS) since 16th January 2017, a reputed NGO works for environment-development integration, Good governance and People’s participation, Poverty alleviation and sustainable livelihood, Economic growth and Public-private partnership and the Adjunct Faculty Member of “State University of Bangladesh”.

Mr. Ahmed was born in 1st January 1963 in a respectable Muslim Family of Comilla. He obtained Honors and master’s degree in Account from Dhaka University. He is the Fellow Member of two professional accounting bodies such as The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) and The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB).
