Managing Director (Newage Group)

Mr. Arif Ibrahim is an experienced business leader in Bangladesh’s apparel and garment manufacturing industry and a longstanding member of the Newage Group. A graduate of the University of Dhaka, he has been associated with the Group since his student years, dating back to the early 1990s.

He currently serves as the Managing Director of Newage Apparels Ltd., where he plays a key role in overseeing and strengthening the Group’s garment manufacturing operations. His responsibilities span a broad range of critical functions, including production, productivity, industrial engineering, product development, costing, compliance, and human resource management across the Group’s stitching units.

Professional Experience

With more than three decades of association with the Newage Group, Mr. Ibrahim has developed extensive experience in apparel manufacturing, operational management, workforce development, and production efficiency.

In his role as Managing Director, he provides strategic and operational leadership across key areas of the manufacturing process. His focus on productivity, industrial engineering, product development, and costing supports the Group's efforts to maintain efficient operations while meeting the quality and compliance requirements of international apparel markets.

Newage Apparels Ltd. is a registered member of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), with Mr. Ibrahim listed as its Managing Director. The company was established in 1995 and operates in the knit and woven garment sector.

Industry Engagement

Beyond his responsibilities within Newage Group, Mr. Ibrahim is actively involved in industry and business-community activities. He serves as Convener of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) Standing Committee on Industrial Relations, contributing to discussions and initiatives related to workplace and industrial relations.

He is also a member of the Entertainment Sub-Committee of Kurmitola Golf Club, reflecting his engagement in professional and social organizations beyond the apparel industry.
